Al Sharhan Energy and Sieyuan Electric Sign Joint Venture Agreement for GIS Factory in Saudi Arabia
Saudi company Al Sharhan Energy announced that it has signed a landmark Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Chinese enterprise Sieyuan Electric. The agreement was signed on behalf of both parties by Tawfiq Al Sharhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Sharhan Group, and Dong Zengping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sieyuan Electric. Its core content is to jointly build a specialized production factory for Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) in Saudi Arabia.
Sieyuan Electric has long maintained a presence in Saudi Arabia. It is already a qualified supplier to Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), having participated in the supply of power equipment for the NEOM new city project, and delivered a set of 132kV mobile substation to SEC last March. As a leading local energy enterprise in Saudi Arabia, Al Sharhan Energy boasts profound market roots and a mature distribution network. This cooperation between the two parties will further promote the localized production and supply of high-voltage electrical equipment, achieving resource complementarity and win-win cooperation.
The cooperation between Kstone and Sieyuan has lasted for more than 12 years. Kstone has been supplying Sieyuan with SF₆ gas leak detectors, comprehensive testers, micro moisture analyzers, vacuum pumping devices, gas recovery devices, as well as gas mixing and filling devices, and gas recovery, separation and purification devices.
