Product Description
High-Precision Automatic SF6 Chilled Mirror Dew Point Analyzer For GIS & SF6 Gas Systems
Product Overview

The KST-V SF6 Chilled Mirror Dew Point Analyzer is a high-precision moisture measurement instrument specially designed for SF6 gas systems, GIS equipment and high-voltage electrical maintenance applications.

The analyzer adopts the chilled mirror measurement principle, providing highly accurate and stable dew point measurement results with excellent long-term reliability. Compared with conventional sensor-type dew point meters, the chilled mirror method offers higher measurement accuracy, superior repeatability and reduced drift over time.

The instrument supports fully automatic continuous measurement and automatic mirror heating/defrosting cycles, ensuring stable operation in field testing environments.

Equipped with a built-in lithium battery, digital flowmeter and intelligent control system, the KST-V is suitable for on-site SF6 gas moisture analysis in substations, GIS switchgear maintenance, gas recovery systems and power utility inspection applications.

How Chilled Mirror Dew Point Analyzer Works
Chilled Mirror Measurement Principle

The analyzer operates based on the chilled mirror dew point measurement principle.

When the gas temperature drops below the saturation temperature of water vapor under a certain pressure condition, moisture in the gas condenses on the mirror surface. The reflected light changes due to diffuse reflection caused by condensation, and the optical sensing system detects this variation.

The intelligent control system analyzes both optical and temperature signals to accurately calculate the dew point temperature of the tested gas.

After dew formation is detected, the instrument automatically heats the mirror surface until condensation disappears, then starts a new cooling cycle for continuous automatic measurement.

Below 0°C, the measured dew point is referred to as the frost point.
