Fully Automatic SF₆ Service Cart for Recovery, Vacuuming & Charging – KSLH-30WY/20-63-300MZ
Integrated SF₆ Recovery, Vacuuming, Charging, Storage & Gas Drying System with 300 L Storage Vessel
Product Overview
The KSLH-30WY/20-63-300MZ Fully Automatic SF₆ Service Cart is an integrated SF₆ gas handling system designed for the recovery, vacuuming, charging, storage, cylinder filling, and drying of SF₆ gas during the manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of SF₆ electrical equipment.
The system adopts a high-pressure liquefaction principle. During SF₆ recovery, the gas is compressed to a higher pressure and liquefied for efficient storage or transfer into gas cylinders. A built-in filtration and drying system helps remove moisture and contaminants from the recovered SF₆ gas.
Equipped with a PLC touch-screen control system, the service cart provides automatic operating modes for vacuuming, SF₆ recovery, balanced charging, and compressor-assisted charging. The process flow and operating status can be displayed directly on the touch screen, simplifying operation and reducing manual intervention.
The system uses an air-cooled design and a mobile hand-push configuration, allowing operation without an external water source.
With a 300 L storage vessel, a 30 m³/h SF₆ compressor, and a 63 m³/h vacuum pump, the KSLH-30WY/20-63-300MZ is suitable for professional SF₆ gas handling applications involving GIS, circuit breakers, and other SF₆-insulated electrical equipment.

Working Principle
The KSLH-30WY/20-63-300MZ combines an SF₆ compressor, vacuum pumping system, storage vessel, filtration and drying system, valves, and measuring instruments into one integrated service cart.
During SF₆ recovery, the compressor draws SF₆ gas from the electrical equipment and compresses it to a high pressure. Based on the pressure-temperature characteristics of SF₆, the compressed gas is liquefied and transferred to the storage vessel or a connected gas cylinder.
During the recovery process, the filtration and drying system helps remove moisture and particulate contaminants from the recovered SF₆ gas.
For vacuuming, the vacuum pumping system evacuates air and residual gas from the electrical equipment before SF₆ charging.
For charging, the system provides two automatic charging modes:
- Balanced Charging using the pressure of the storage vessel
- Compressor-Boosted Charging for applications requiring higher charging pressure
This integrated configuration allows one service cart to perform the major SF₆ gas handling operations required during electrical equipment servicing.
Automatic Operating Modes
The PLC control system provides four main automatic operating modes.
![]()
Vacuuming
The vacuum system evacuates the connected electrical equipment to the required vacuum level before SF₆ charging.
SF₆ Recovery
SF₆ gas is recovered from the connected electrical equipment and liquefied for storage.
Balanced Charging
SF₆ is charged into the electrical equipment using the pressure available in the storage vessel.
Compressor-Boosted Charging
The SF₆ compressor provides additional pressure during charging when storage vessel pressure alone is insufficient.
Control System
The PLC touch-screen interface provides a clear display of the system process flow and operating status.
Adjustable operating parameters include:
- Vacuum Stop Value
- Vacuum Stop Delay
- Compressor Protection Setting
- Charging Termination Setting
- Charging Termination Delay
- Recovery Termination Setting
- Recovery Termination Delay
The system also provides a manual operating interface for individual valve and component control when required.
Filtration & SF₆ Gas Drying System
The KSLH-30WY/20-63-300MZ includes a filtration and drying system for conditioning recovered SF₆ gas.
The system uses a self-regenerating desiccant filter. The desiccant can be regenerated through vacuum heating activation, reducing the need for frequent replacement of the drying medium.
The specified moisture content of recovered SF₆ is ≤60 ppm/V under the stated test conditions.
