Discovering the secret, why does the micro water test take so long?
Micro water testing generally takes 5-8 minutes;
Purity testing usually only takes 1 minute
In fact, the long time for micro water is not due to the long reaction time of the sensor, but mainly because the testing process needs to remove the moisture in the pipeline, which is relatively slow; In order to shorten the process of water discharge as much as possible, we have strict requirements for the selection of materials for the micro water meter pipeline, which are currently limited to the following types:; Polytetrafluoroethylene, stainless steel, brass, and require smooth inner walls;
Additionally, we also hope to shorten the length of the pipeline as much as possible;
As for the inner diameter of the pipeline, the general choice now is 4mm
On the pipeline, it is absolutely necessary to avoid rubber components, such as rubber gaskets inside pressure reducing valves or a 5cm rubber pipe. These materials that are prone to water absorption can greatly prolong the micro water testing process;
The following figure shows the stainless steel pipeline material used for calibrating the micro water meter at the Shanghai Institute of Metrology
For the convenience of carrying and using, generally, our micro water meter testing pipeline mostly uses polytetrafluoroethylene.
